Have Your Say!You are invited to influence the decisions made by the Ministry of Information and help to make the country a better place. Take the opportunity to have your say. This site allows you to get involved in consultations using our special online consultation system. Once registered, you can join in any of the current consultations. You'll have access to download the Consultation documents and any related information. You can then respond to the consultation using our online questionnaires, or by uploading a response in the form of a document. The consultations also have online discussion forums where interested participants can discus the topic with experts and MoI representatives, allowing you to really air your views and promoting a flow of discussion to help resolve any issues. Notes on the consultation procedureThe MoI tries to make its consultation procedure as thorough and open as possible. Responses to consultations and discussions will be available online after the close of the consultation period where they can be downloaded freely and inspected by members of the public. They will also be physically lodged in the Ministry's Information Centres where they can be viewed or copied on payment of the appropriate fee to cover costs. Responses to consultations and discussions are invited on the basis that anyone submitting them agrees to their being dealt with in this way. Responses, or part of them, will be withheld only at the express request of the person making them (Under the Code of Practice on Access to Government Information; Environmental Information Regulations 1992 and the Data Protection Act 1998). In such cases a note will be put in the index to the responses identifying those who have commented and have asked that their views, or part of them, be treated as confidential.
